Don’t get me wrong, I love white. White walls, white ceilings, white floors, white everything… But sometimes is just so refreshing to se something different, like this Berlin apartment. It belongs to Sylvester Koziolek, art director (scenographer) for Gucci etc. He sure has succeeded in setting a tone for the entire apartment. Black base and vintage furniture and decorative items from the bauhouse period.
I especially like the first picture where the light from the windows make the apartment come to life.

Wood white work?
I love the beautifully aged wood in combination with the bright, white and classic design of the rest of the interior. And it seems as the perfect place for grownups and kids to hang out together.

Etirement Lamp Concept Looks Like An Umbrella But I Wouldn’t Suggest Using It In A Downpour - Etirement lamp
As so many other bloggers have already reported, turquoise is one of this year’s big trends. I have always been a little skeptical towards the color, without any reason really. And the strange thing is that even though I’m not sure if I like it, I sure have a lot of turquoise items in my home. It started with a beautiful chinese armoire and then I just started buying things to match it, vases, pillows etc.
Think whatever you want about turquoise, these pictures are wonderful. As always I love the blooming branches!

More black and white
Here we go again. I can’t seem to get enough of these light turn of the century apartments. I just love the combination of the old, the new and the classic. The white walls and black furniture lets those little details such as a painting or an old used chair get just as much attention as they deserve. It’s those odd things that add personality and make each home different. And have you noticed how even a pile of magazines and books looks great if there is enough space around it?
